Product Information

This handmade Mt. Shasta opal pinecone necklace pairs a Mt. Shasta opal accent with the detailed natural pattern of a real knobcone pinecone. The cone is cut to open up its layered interior, so the pendant shows the pinecone's own pattern and warm brown and golden tones alongside the opal.

The knobcone pinecone was gathered near Mt. Shasta in Northern California, then selected, cleaned and prepared. It was cut, shaped, sanded and finished by hand in McCloud, California. UV-hardened marine-grade epoxy gives the pendant a durable, glossy surface while keeping every detail of the pinecone visible. Gathering is done by hand and focuses on cones found on branches brought down by wind, snow or other natural conditions rather than removing cones from living trees.

This necklace is a distinctive choice for opal lovers, collectors of handmade jewelry and anyone with a personal connection to Mt. Shasta. Wear it every day, or give it to someone who loves the mountain and the forests around it.

Every knobcone pinecone grows its own pattern, center and outline. Those natural differences make each pendant one of a kind, and yours will vary from the photo.
