Product Information
This handmade lavender opal pinecone necklace adds a soft purple accent to the warm brown and golden tones of a real knobcone pinecone. The lavender color stands out against the cone's layered pattern without hiding any of it.
The knobcone pinecone was gathered near Mt. Shasta in Northern California before being selected, cleaned and prepared. It was then cut, shaped, sanded and finished by hand in McCloud, California, and sealed with UV-hardened marine-grade epoxy for a glossy surface that keeps the pinecone's natural pattern in view. Gathering is done by hand and focuses on cones found on branches brought down by wind, snow or other natural conditions rather than removing cones from living trees.
It's an easy everyday necklace for anyone who likes a little color with their woodland jewelry, and a distinctive gift for nature lovers, hikers and people who love Northern California.
No two knobcone pinecones grow the same way. The pattern, center, outline and coloring of each pendant are its own, so yours will vary from the photo.
