Product Information
This handmade ammonite fossil pinecone necklace pairs an ammonite fossil detail with the natural pattern of a real knobcone pinecone. It's a pendant for anyone drawn to fossils and forests in equal measure.
The knobcone pinecone was gathered near Mt. Shasta in Northern California before being carefully selected, cleaned, prepared and cut. The pendant was then shaped, sanded and finished by hand in McCloud, California. UV-hardened marine-grade epoxy protects the surface with a glossy finish that brings out the pinecone's warm brown and golden tones. Gathering is done by hand and focuses on cones found on branches brought down by wind, snow or other natural conditions rather than removing cones from living trees.
This necklace is a distinctive choice for collectors of handmade jewelry, fossil fans and nature lovers. It can be worn every day or given as a gift.
Every pinecone has its own pattern, center, outline and color, so each pendant is one of a kind and will vary from the photo.
