Product Information

This handmade abalone inlay pinecone necklace pairs an abalone shell inlay with the detailed natural pattern of a real knobcone pinecone. The cone's layered interior and warm brown and golden tones stay in full view.

Each knobcone pinecone was gathered near Mt. Shasta in Northern California and then selected, cleaned and prepared. It was cut, shaped, sanded and finished by hand in McCloud, California. A UV-hardened marine-grade epoxy seal gives the pendant a glossy surface and lets the pinecone's pattern show through. Gathering is done by hand and focuses on cones found on branches brought down by wind, snow or other natural conditions rather than removing cones from living trees.

This necklace is made for people who appreciate handmade jewelry and unusual materials. Wear it every day, or give it to a nature lover, hiker or anyone with a connection to Northern California.

Every knobcone pinecone develops its own pattern, center and outline. Natural differences in the wood, shape and coloring make each finished necklace unique, and yours will vary from the photo.
